All thriller – no filler
Charlie’s 11th party was a outdoor boyish sort of party – although with more girls than boys there was quite a battle for the ‘best’ den making materials.
I’ve started a petition for public toilets on Clapham Common near the Tube station.
Since the old toilets closed down many years ago the only public loos are miles away. As my office is based just off the common i’ve seen sights that would make a statue blush.
For a birthday treat we went up the Shard.
Never have seen so many staff doing pointless jobs. There were staffed lifts, and you have to change lifts halfway up (due to the weight of the lift cable preventing really long lift runs). There were people standing outside the lift to guide you around the corner to the other lift. There were people to take your ticket and touch it to the reader. It just went on and on!
We had a great day out at Wookey Farm last Sunday. It was Open Farm Sunday. The weather was warm and sunny and this no doubt helped but the response was amazing. I think over 200 car loads of visitors came along and enjoyed a few hours in the sunshine.

The picture says it all. ASDA are now selling Christmas biscuits. In September. I ask you!
As we were on Clapham Common anyway it seemed rude not to stroll to the road and watch the Olympic Torch passing through on it’s way to Hyde Park.
How did they get up there to do that?
